In addition to what you have said above, i believe the CV is crucial as it serves as the intermediary between you and the employer.

At this point the employer cannot see you but can get a feel of u and what you represent through the CV.

I believe as you have said its important to avoid those simple mistakes in the CV and get the invitation to the job interview.
