Tour Guide Driver Jobs In Kenya are usually seasonal during the high peak tourism season though there are permanent jobs with some tour companies.

Job summary.

Prevent and resolve any guest related problems that may arise and be a good ambassador of the company.

The Tour Driver/Guide’s primary duties will include transporting and escorting groups on tours of cities, waterways and national parks, ensuring that prepared itineraries are met and that customers are being informed in an entertaining manner the location they are touring.

The Tour Driver/Guide is also responsible for ensuring the safety of the group and ensuring that tour groups remain together.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities will include:

• Transferring clients to and from the respective destinations.

• Taking good care of company vehicles and report vehicles' defects both mechanical and physical.

• Notify the superiors on any emergency situation arising out of motor vehicle defect.

• Report to work in time and at least 30 minutes before picking time.

• Operate any tour vehicle or van throughout Kenya and eastern Africa

• Provide safety information to guests in regards to the tour van or vehicle.

• Load guests luggage onto motor vehicle

• Discuss interesting facts & information regarding Kenya and Eastern Africa to guests over PA system

• Complete daily paperwork including Vehicle Inspection Report & Driver Log Book

• Maintain interior/exterior cleanliness of motor vehicle including restrooms where applicable.

• Do maintenance on vehicle while on-the-road away from Operations staff

• Complete other tasks as assigned by Operations staff

Minimum Job Specification:

• Driver guide techniques.

• PSV for five year.

• Valid driving license.

• Current driver guides tourism certificate.

• Current certificate of good conduct.

• Presentable, approachable, friendly, responsible, able to communicate and helpful at all times to the guest and the team.

• Excellent Knowledge of both written and spoken Italian, Spanish, Chinese, french or German language.
